God Delivered My Mom on Christmas
Posted 12/26/07
Around the
beginning of December, I believed it was the will of God to have a meeting at Water of Life Church of Illinois on Christmas Day from 6pm-8pm. No person instructed me to do this. I did it in obedience to God.
I spoke with my mom several days before Christmas and she told me that she really wanted to attend this meeting but she said that she prayed to God and said that she would submit to her husband (my step-dad) and go only if he said they were going to go.
I realize that this will offend most women. Ephesians 5:23-24 "For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every
thing. "
A day or so before the meeting, she was
excited as she informed me that my step-dad said that they would be
attending. I want to point out that because my mom chose to humble
herself and submit to her husband, God put it in my step-dad's heart to
come to this meeting. Read on to see what God then did for my
mom.
During the second hour, I along with others were praising and
worshipping God. As I was worshipping, I noticed my mom start to
cough. I continued to walk around the front of the room worshipping God
and I would look over from time to time where my mom was sitting as I would
heard her continue to cough. I noticed that my step-dad was continuing to
give her some water to drink to hopefully clear her throat. I knew this
was nothing but the devil. I continued to worship and my mom continued to
cough. Finally, it got to the point where I was near her and I started
binding the devil and binding powers of darkness and binding witchcraft in
Jesus name with everything in me. Ephesians 6:12 "
For we wrestle not against
flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers
of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high
places." As I continued to bind the devil, God revealed to me that I was wrestling
with religious spirits. As I started to bind religious spirits, I by the
spirit of God started binding Catholic and Pentecostol spirits and started to
command them to come out of her and go in Jesus name. As I did this, God started setting my mom free and the
coughing in my mom had increased greatly. At one point, she was slightly
bent over continually coughing. My step-dad was frantically looking around
for kleenex or napkins as my mom was going through them rapidly.
I was determined to see the power of God deliver my mom from these
religious spirits. This whole thing went on for about ten minutes or
so. Finally, I broke through and God set my mom free of some Catholic
and Pentecostol spirits and just like that, the coughing stopped and my mom
then sat there praising God and fanning herself as she was hot through
this experience.
God showed me
that my mom got these wicked spirits in
what religious people call church, which is not church. No
demonination is of God. You can't find any of them in the Bible. You
see, my ministry is scriptual, to be led by the Spirit of God (not man) and
as Jesus commanded in Matthew 10:7-8 " And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at
hand. Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out
devils: freely ye have redeived, freely
give."
At the
end of the program, I shared how I had told my mom back in early
December that I believed it was the will of God for me not to buy anyone
presents this year for Christmas nor did I want any gifts from anyone.
Afterall, I have been obeying God with my money for over 11 years and God
has brought me to the point where I don't even buy anything for myself unless I
believe it is the will of God. It seemed common sense to me then that if I
don't even buy myself something unless God permits, then why would I buy
something for someone else unless God permits? I know that this will
offend the world because the world has their heart stuck on the the traditions
of man (Christmas) and not God. They expresses their love in terms of
gifts and money. Afterall, many people believe that the more you love
someone the more you should spend on them. If you don't believe this
to be true, don't exchange gifts next year with family and friends, tell them
you're obeying God and see if anyone gets offended. No amount of
money or gifts is worth more than what the power of God did for my mom on
Christmas night. Anyway, back when I was talking to my mom, it came into
my heart and I told her the same thing Peter said in Acts
3:6 "Silver and gold have
I none; but such as I have give I thee:" I reminded her of
this converstion that
evening now that God had delivered her and then I looked at her and said,
"Merry Christmas." I thank God for what he did and what he
continues to do.
